Our History

Ramp Enterprises was founded in March 1997 by Elaine Penta Rampone, based on the market need for quality assurance services for businesses.

Our Philosophy

In today's business market place, two major issues are impacting small to medium size businesses:

• The cost of employees (benefits and overhead)
• Customer requirements for both quality products and quality assurance systems to support the business process

Ramp Enterprises, LLC provides various quality assurance services to a variety of industries. The premise of the business is:

• To provide a service at a cost-efficient rate to the customer
• To maintain a long-term relationship for satisfying the customer's unique quality needs
• To be available to answer questions concerning the everyday quality operations

By providing the service at affordable rates, the customer can identify potential profits associated with utilizing Ramp versus the overhead associated with hiring a full-time employee. Ramp will provide its own resources and office space to accomplish the task and/or will work side-by-side with the customer at the facility, as needed.

Credentials

Elaine Penta Rampone has been the owner and Chief Executive Manager of RAMP Enterprises, LLC since 1996. Elaine has over 20 years experience in project engineering and quality assurance management. She has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with a minor concentration in Biology, from Northeastern University (1989) and a Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of New Haven (1992).

Prior to RAMP, Elaine worked for General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division and a series of small family-owned businesses, with positions in Project and Design Engineering, Quality Procurement Engineering, and Quality Management.

Through RAMP, Elaine has assisted over a 100 companies through the quality management implementation process for the following standards:

• ISO 9001 (Commercial Industry)
• ISO 13485 (Medical Industry)
• FDA QSR (Medical Industry)
• AS 9100 (Aerospace Industry)
• TS 16949 (Automotive Industry)
• QS 9000 (Automotive Industry)
• Various Military Standards (Government)

Elaine has been accredited with the QSARAB as a certified associate auditor for over 10 years (Q06691) and has been a member of the American Society of Quality for over 15 years. Elaine has been an accredited Certified Quality Auditor through the ASQ. RAMP has a 99% success rate with bringing clients through successful registration and permanent continued success.

Today the RAMP business is diversified with approximately 30% maintenance clients, (where RAMP plays a significant role in maintaining the quality assurance function), 40% project-based work for system implementation and registration, and 30% supportive-role in short-term projects. RAMP performs activities in auditing, documentation writing, training, coaching, and project management.

RAMP has over a half-a-dozen contracted consultants who specialize in documentation, engineering, manufacturing, information technology/software, technical specialties, and auditing.

RAMP has a slow-growth business model, with a focus on the building blocks for a solid business foundation, yet a progressive spirit for excellence in effective and valuable world class quality management systems.
